For simple storage such as in agricultural machinery, conveyor systems, construction machinery. The UCFL unit consists of a sealed bearing and a gray cast iron flanged bearing housing. The shaft is attached to the inner ring using grub screws. Due to the spherical outer surface of the bearing, misalignment of the shaft can be compensated for.
Hints
Housing bearing units have bearing inserts with a spherical (crowned) outer ring. The housing seat is hollow spherical. Therefore, housing bearing units are aligned and angular errors are compensated for.
The bearing insert can be aligned in the housing up to approx. 4° - 6°.
The housing bearing adjusts itself correctly when both shaft ends are installed. It is therefore not necessary for the units to be exactly aligned when delivered.
