This extender also supports lossless audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD to provide video content with powerful multi-channel sound, giving the viewer a better experience and a sense of immersion. USB KM connectivity via 2 USB HID ports allows control of a DP equipped PC via a keyboard and mouse on the receiver, which can be stored in a secure or temperature-controlled environment while seamlessly delivering consistent video content from the source .

With bi-directional IR ports on both sides of the setup, the source device can be seamlessly controlled from the display side, and the display can also be controlled from the DisplayPort source device. RS-232 ports also allow integration into pre-installed control systems. In addition, the PoC (Power over Cable) functionality offers additional flexibility. This makes it possible to supply not only the data but also power via a Cat.6 network cable in a point-to-point connection between the transmitter and receiver, so that only a single power supply is required at the transmitter or receiver. This is ideal if, for example, there are only a few sockets on the receiver.
